Urgent Care

Walk-In Urgent Care Medical Treatment

Do you have an ache or pain that’s getting to you, but your regular doctor can’t fit you into their schedule that same day? Urgent care is the convenient alternative to seeing your primary care doctor for unplanned doctor’s visits when you have an urgent but non-life-threatening medical concern. Walk-ins are welcome, so no appointments are necessary. That means you can simply walk into one of our urgent care Med-Stop locations and check-in at the front desk to be seen.

If you’re experiencing a life-threatening emergency, call 9-1-1 or visit the nearest emergency room.

Common patient complaints we treat at our urgent care clinic include:

  • Simple wound repair
  • Broken bones
  • Simple burns
  • Sprains
  • Fevers
  • Animal bites
  • Rashes
  • Sore throats
  • Sinus infections
  • Flu/Covid
  • UTI
  • Pink Eye
  • Other minor injuries or ailments

Should I Go to Urgent Care or the Emergency Room?

While you might think they do the same thing, urgent care clinics are not the same as an Emergency Department in a hospital. That’s because Emergency Departments are equipped to handle life-threatening medical emergencies, while urgent care is not. However, urgent care is often the better, more affordable alternative to emergency room treatment if your injury or ailment is non-life-threatening. Urgent care essentially provides primary care services without the hassle of needing to make an appointment ahead of time.

Examples of potentially life-threatening health emergencies better suited to Emergency Department care include heart attacks, strokes, severe bleeding, breathing difficulties, and open bone fractures, among others. When in doubt, go to the Emergency Room for care.
