Houston Healthcare provides primary care at our Houston Family Care at Houston Lake, Houston Family Care at Perry, and Pavilion Family Medicine Center locations. We are dedicated to meeting the needs of you and your family. Every member of our clinical team delivering primary care is committed to promoting lifelong health and wellness. Primary care doctors are also called internists or family medicine doctors, and they are the first doctor’s office most patients call when they have any non-urgent medical questions or concerns. These doctors offer annual physical exams, medical treatment, preventative medicine, and they monitor chronic conditions such as heart disease or diabetes. A primary care provider can also refer you to a specialist if you should need more advanced treatment – specialists may include ENTs, endocrinologists, cardiologists, or oncologists, among others, when necessary.

Andrew Wang, DOAndrew Wang

Dr. Andrew Wang, a Board Certified Family Medicine physician in Perry, is originally from Illinois and graduated from the University of Illinois at Urbana Champaign with a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology. He attended Medical School at the A.T. Still University School of Osteopathic Medicine in Kirksville, Missouri. Prior to joining Houston Family Care at Perry, Dr. Wang completed his three-year Residency with Houston Healthcare, where he cared for patients at Houston Medical Center and also at the Pavilion Family Medicine Center.

Dr. Wang is Board Certified by the American Osteopathic Board of Family Physicians and is on the Medical Staffs at Houston Medical Center and Perry Hospital.

Cassondra Edwards, NP-CCassondra Edwards, NP-C

Cassondra Edwards joined Houston Family Care at Perry in 2021 as a Family Nurse Practitioner seeing patients at Perry Hospital. Cassondra received her Associate’s and Bachelor’s Degrees in Nursing Science from Macon State College. She completed her Master of Science in Nursing with Family Nurse Practitioner Concentration from Maryville University in St. Louis, Missouri. Prior to completing her Master’s degree, Cassondra worked for Houston Healthcare as a nurse for more than 10 years.

Christy Gonzalez, NP-CChristy Gonzalez

Christy Gonzalez is a certified Nurse Practitioner serving patients in Middle Georgia for more than six years. Christy received her Associate Degree in Nursing from Macon State College in Macon, Georgia and a Bachelor of Nursing Degree from Georgia Southwestern State University in Americus, Georgia. She later earned a Master’s of Science Degree as a Family Nurse Practitioner from Georgia College and State University in Macon.

Christy is certified by the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP) and is also a member of the AANP.


Pavilion Family Medicine Center

Pavilion Family Medicine Center offers full spectrum primary care from birth through all phases of adulthood in conjunction with the Family Medicine Residency Program at Houston Healthcare. Service Houston County and the surrounding communities, the program provides training opportunities for medical students and resident physicians while addressing the health care needs of the area. Inpatients are seen at Houston Medical Center and the Pavilion Family Medicine Center, which is located within the Houston Health Pavilion.

Patients will be seen by one of our 18 resident physicians, as well as one of our Faculty members who are Board Certified Family Medicine Physicians. The Pavilion Family Medicine Center serves as the patient’s primary care provider and will offer referral services for these patients, as appropriate.
