There’s no need to travel 50+ miles away to the biggest hospital in Georgia when our full-service Emergency Departments are just the right size to meet our patients’ needs. Our team of medical professionals specializes in emergency and trauma care and can help patients when every moment counts.

We encourage you to visit the Emergency Department at Houston Healthcare – Warner Robins or Houston Healthcare – Perry or call 9-1-1 for EMS services if you experience:

Our EMS Services

Houston Healthcare Emergency Medical Services (EMS) provides Houston County residents with the highest standard of around-the-clock 911 emergency transportation and medical services. Each year, our Emergency Department responds to 33,000+ requests for emergency medical service from our 70+ paramedics and emergency medical technicians (EMTs).

With 7 ambulance stations located throughout Houston County, Houston Healthcare EMS is capable of reaching your destination easily. Our fleet of 16 ambulances receives careful attention, kept in top running condition, and fully equipped in anticipation of the next call. We have incorporated a rigorous vehicle replacement schedule to ensure that our vehicles are up-to-date.

Houston Healthcare Emergency Medical Services staff are continually training and reviewing protocols and advance skills every month to be able to provide the most advanced pre-hospital care to the community we serve. In addition to its continuing education, members of the EMS staff travel throughout Georgia to learn new updates in medicine, treatment and skills.

In addition to emergency service, Houston Healthcare EMS also provides specialized non-emergency ambulance transportation to and from hospitals, medical centers, doctor's offices, nursing homes and residences. For non-emergency transportation services, please call (478) 975-5400.


STAR Kids is a program of the Georgia Emergency Medical Services for Children and is special and/or technology-assisted resource for children with special health care needs. The program encourages parents and caregivers with special needs children to develop a written emergency care plan. It is vital that everyone involved, including parents, teachers, bystanders, EMS personnel, nurses, physicians, and specialists, are aware of a child’s unique needs both in preparing for and surviving a medical emergency.
