HoustonHealthy 5K Race, Fun Run and Wellness Expo
The 3rd Annual #HoustonHealthy 5K Race, Fun Run and Wellness Expo, held September 21, 2024, was a hit! 333 runners/walkers enjoyed the beautiful weather and festivities. Held at the Roy H. “Sonny” Watson Health Pavilion in Warner Robins, the event included a 5K Race and one-mile Family Fun Run followed by a Wellness Expo with free on-site health screenings, a 20-foot “Mega Colon” walk-through exhibit, community vendors and food trucks. As a result of the Mayor’s Health Initiative, Houston County Health Department joined us this year for a bigger, better event with even more health education resources. Awards were given at the end with giveaways and raffle prizes. Local police, firemen and EMS were on-site.
