Soaring Together III: A Collaboration in Continuing Medical Education

Warner Robins, GA -- The Soaring Together III Continuing Educational Event will be held at the Cary W. Martin Conference Center at the Houston Health Pavilion in Warner Robins on Friday, November 10th. The purpose of this event is to provide a low cost, high-quality, continuing educational offering for nurses and physicians in Central Georgia. Registration begins at 7:30 am with breakfast provided.  The sessions will commence at 8 am, and conclude at 1:30 pm. This event is the third annual collaboration between The 78th Medical Group at Robins Air Force Base, Houston Healthcare, Navicent Health, Coliseum Health System, The Veteran’s Administration, and Three Rivers AHEC.

The 78th Group of Robins Air Force Base, led by Lt. Col. Donna Tew will bring together key members of the healthcare community in a collaborative effort to develop a program that would provide best practice continuing medical education (CME) for area Primary Care medical professionals. This year’s focus will be on Weight Control/Obesity Meds, Endocrinology, Chronic Pain/Opioid Use, Mental Health in the Primary Care Setting and Care of the Geriatric Population in Primary Care. The past offerings have attracted a diverse cross section of military and civilian Medical Residents, Physicians, Nursing Students, Nurses, EMS personnel, Respiratory Therapists, Nurse Practitioners, and PA’s. 5.0 AMA Category 1 Credits and 5.0 Continuing Nursing Education Credits are available.
