Houston Healthcare Welcomes New Chief Medical Officer

Houston Healthcare is pleased to welcome Charles Nutinsky, DO, FACOS, MMM, as the new Vice President of Medical Affairs/Chief Medical Officer (CMO). Dr. Nutinsky is a dually board certified General and Vascular Surgeon having practiced clinically for 22 years. He has served in physician leadership positions for the last 10 years, specifically as a Chief Medical Officer. He has also served as Director of Medical Education and as the physician advisor for Utilization.

Dr. Nutinsky completed his undergraduate studies at Delaware Valley College and attended medical school at the College of Osteopathic Medicine and Surgery. He earned his Master of Medical Management degree from Tulane University. Dr. Nutinsky completed his residency training in General Surgery at the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey-SOM and his General Vascular Surgery Residency at Northeastern Hospital/Germantown Hospital. He is board certified from the American Osteopathic Board of Surgery in General Surgery and also in General Vascular Surgery.

As CMO, Dr. Nutinsky will serve as a liaison between the Board of Trustees, Executive Team, staff and physicians. He will also provide oversight to the Medical Affairs, Medical Education, and Quality Departments, as well as the Residency Program.

In his previous positions, Dr. Nutinsky has had success in Medical Staff operations, contract negotiations, core measure initiatives, electronic medical records transition, and physician and staff coaching.
