Houston Healthcare Emergency Medical Services (EMS) Supervisor Quinton Head was awarded the prestigious Georgia Hospital Hero Award by the Georgia Hospital Association (GHA). GHA presented the award to Head during a special ceremony held at Houston Healthcare, recognizing his extensive and diverse healthcare work and passion for serving his community.
Head was one of only three individuals across the state to receive this award. With more than 35 years of service at Houston Healthcare, he has built a remarkable career—starting as an orderly in the Emergency Department and rising to his current role as a respected paramedic and EMS supervisor.
“Quinton’s excellence isn’t just recognized by leadership—it’s recognized by those who matter most: his colleagues, the community, and the patients he serves,” said David Borghelli, Director of Emergency Medical Services at Houston Healthcare. “He has been a steadfast presence and a role model to all who’ve had the opportunity to work beside him.”Throughout his career, Head has received numerous accolades, including: Houston Healthcare EMT/Paramedic of the Year; Houston Healthcare Clinical Employee of the Quarter; and EMS Provider of the Year by the Georgia Office of EMS and Trauma, Region 5.
“These are not just accolades—they are reflections of a career built on integrity, knowledge, and an unwavering dedication to others,” added Borghelli, who nominated Head for the GHA award.
Caylee Noggle, President and CEO of the Georgia Hospital Association, praised Head's impact: “Quinton Head is a shining example of what it means to lead and care for others with empathy and compassion. His community and hospital have been enriched from his years of dedication to the emergency medical services field.
