Houston Healthcare System Board Of Trustees Appoints President and Chief Executive Officer

Warner Robins, Georgia -- The Houston Healthcare System Board of Trustees announces Charles Briscoe as the new President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) for Houston Healthcare, which includes Houston Healthcare – Warner Robins, Houston Healthcare – Perry, Houston Heart Institute, Houston Health Pavilion, and numerous outpatient facilities.

Mr. Briscoe has been serving as the Interim CEO since June 2019 and was the Chief Operating Officer (COO) at the time of his appointment as Interim. Mr. Briscoe joined the Executive Team of Houston Healthcare in December 2016.

“As COO and Interim CEO, Charles has to lead the organization through a number of transitions with poise and much success,” said Sonny Watson, Chairman of the Houston Healthcare System Board. “His heart is for our community and doing what’s right for the patient. He is committed to providing access locally to great quality healthcare for those in our community, and we couldn’t be more proud of the accomplishments and successes he and the organization have attained under his leadership. We know he will continue to move the organization forward.”

Mr. Briscoe has over 25 years of experience in hospitals in communities throughout the Southeast where he held various advancing hospital executive management positions. He is board-certified in healthcare management and is a Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives. He holds a Bachelor of Science Degree in Education from the University of Georgia and a Master of Business Administration, as well as a Master of Health Administration from Georgia State University.
