Nurse Residency Program
Houston Healthcare's hospitals are exceptional facilities for the new Nurse graduate with less than one year experience to make the transition from student nurse to an independent nurse. Unlike other programs, our year round medical/surgical residency allows all new graduate nurses to participate regardless of graduation date. Our program also provides the new nurse with clinically significant classroom instruction as he/she works closely with a preceptor on a nursing unit. The residency program is led by a Residency Coordinator who collaborates with unit-based Clinical Coordinators and preceptors to ensure a well-rounded orientation experience to help new nurses build clinical skills and confidence.
