Houston Healthcare Teams Up With National Partner To Create Musculoskeletal Program Of Distinction

Houston Healthcare has partnered with the Human Motion Institute (HMI), a Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania-based firm specializing in orthopedic service line development, to enhance our orthopedic and rehabilitation services and create a musculoskeletal program of distinction. The three-year initiative will focus on providing superior clinical outcomes, optimizing coordination of care and achieving excellence in patient satisfaction.

“Houston Medical Center and Perry Hospital offer an array of orthopedic and rehabilitative services, spanning the continuum of care from pre-operative education through acute comprehensive care and post-operative therapy. HMI works with hospitals and physician groups around the country to design and implement orthopedic programs of distinction. Their team has had a tremendous amount of success in working with health care facilities all over the United States, and we believe that they will certainly enhance our program to improve patient and physician satisfaction, increase volumes, lower costs and reduce length of stay while continuing to improve outcomes,” said Frank J. Aaron, Houston Healthcare CEO. “We look forward to this new partnership in helping us further promote our services and provide quality care for our patients and community.”

HMI President Brian Shivler adds, “We work with hospitals on a regionally exclusive basis, so it’s important we choose our partners carefully. We are very excited about this venture with Houston Healthcare. They have a dedicated clinical staff, an outstanding team of orthopedic surgeons and a strong management team.”
