Houston Healthcare Announces New Leadership Positions

Houston Healthcare has named the following individuals to leadership positions in the organization:  Mr. David Campbell as Administrator of Perry Hospital and Mr. Michael O'Hara as Senior Executive Director of Human Resources.

Mr. Campbell joined Houston Healthcare in 1990 and most recently held the positions of Interim Administrator of Perry Hospital and Executive Director of Managed Care and Physician Services.  His areas of responsibility have included physician recruitment, physician practice management, urgent care centers, inpatient behavioral health services, management service organization, managed care contracts, Houston Occupational Health and the Houston County Volunteer Medical Clinic.  Mr. Campbell holds a Masters Degree in Public Administration from Georgia College and State University.  He is a 25-year member of the Warner Robins Rotary Club where he currently serves as club President.  Mr. Campbell is a Board member of the Georgia Hospital Association's Physician Services Society and is a graduate of the Leadership Warner Robins program.  He also serves as chairman of the Middle Georgia Technical College Nursing Council and has served as a past Director of the Warner Robins Chamber of Commerce and as Chairman of the Salvation Army Safe House Board.

(Skip) Philips, III, Chief Executive Officer of Houston Healthcare.  "I believe that his insight and experience in working with physicians and our community will lead Perry Hospital as we continue to grow and expand its services and capabilities."

Mr. O'Hara comes to Houston Healthcare following a long and distinguished career in the Human Resources field as a civilian within the United States Air Force.  During his 35 year career, Mr. O'Hara served as a personnel generalist and Human Resources Director at seven locations both overseas and within the United States. In addition, he served for five years at HQ United States Air Forces Europe as the principal labor negotiator with focus on the construct of contractual agreements between the U.S. Forces and various foreign governments.  Mr. O'Hara's final assignment with the Air Force was as the Director of Personnel at Robins AFB.

During his eight-year tenure at Robins, a number of innovative programs were introduced, including the application of Lean manufacturing processes designed to improve the efficiency and timeliness of the staffing process.  In addition to his service with the U.S. Air Force, Mr. O'Hara served for five years on active duty with the United States Navy as a member of the Nuclear Submarine force.  Mr. O'Hara completed his undergraduate work at the University of West Florida. He subsequently completed his Masters Degree at Troy St. University.
