As a regional provider, Houston Medical Center provides comprehensive inpatient and outpatient healthcare services annually to more than 160,000 people residing in Houston and surrounding counties. Perry Hospital is a full-service medical facility offering an array of services.

Our greatest resource as a healthcare provider is our people – the more than 1,700 employees who work daily around the clock to provide care, concern and support for the patients we serve and their families. They work along with more than 150 physicians and our Volunteer Auxiliaries to carry out our mission of providing patient-focused, high quality and cost-effective services while promoting health and wellness to improve the healthcare of our community.

Under the leadership of the Hospital Authority of Houston County, Houston Healthcare strives to carry out our mission of providing patient-focuses, high quality, cost-effective care while improving the health of the communities we serve.

We are proud of our efforts as a health care provider, serving over 200,000 people each year through our hospitals, emergency departments and outpatient facilities. In addition to the care we provide for our patients, we are also a major resource to our community. Houston Healthcare provided more than $20 million a year in indigent, charity and uncollectible care, giving medical services this past year to those who do not have the ability to pay, without receiving any tax dollars from local government. Through free or low-cost health screenings, educational opportunities and support groups, more than 80,000 encounters occurred this year through our EduCare Community Education and Services program. Many of our employees, physicians and volunteers work tirelessly in giving back to our community through involvement in organizations such as the Houston County Volunteer Medical Clinic, American Cancer Society, American Heart Association, United Way, March of Dimes, American Red Cross, Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, YMCA, Hospice, Rotary, Kiwanis and Exchange as well as in their churches and local schools.

Each day, our staff, physicians and volunteers continue our journey toward Service Excellence with a commitment to Quality, Service, People, Growth and Finance. We look forward to continuing to meet the demands and challenges of our growing community as we strive for excellence in healthcare services.
