The Houston Healthcare Family Medicine Residency Program encourages and supports scholarly activity by its faculty and staff.

The Board, the President/CEO, executive leadership, faculty, and staff of Houston Healthcare are committed to provide Graduate Medical Education. We do this by using the financial, educational, and personnel necessary to ensure the highest-quality program. We pledge to offer highly coordinated care with community physicians. We let employees have the advantage of cooperative opportunities to work with other institutions to fulfill mutual educational objectives.

We commit ourselves to provide Graduate Medical Education that enables trainee physicians to develop personal, clinical, and professional competence. They will be under the guidance and careful supervision of the faculty and staff at all times to assure the safe, appropriate, and humane care of patients. The progression of the program resident will gain clinical knowledge and skill. The Family Medicine Residency Program is approved by the Accreditation Council for Graduate Medical Education, and we educate both osteopathic and allopathic residents in our program.

We further commit to promoting patient safety and resident wellbeing and to providing a supportive educational environment.

Houston Healthcare is committed to providing a quality, modern, and enjoyable training experience for physicians seeking to enter family medicine.

We offer an attractive ambulatory facility, dedicated faculty and staff, and an abundance of clinical situations to ensure our graduates are ready and able to practice high-quality medicine upon graduation. Subspecialties are covered except neurosurgery and cardiac surgery.

The Middle Georgia area is located in the rolling foothills of the Appalachian chain and provides a very pleasant environment. Our average daily high temperature is above 60 degrees Fahrenheit, except in January, and only exceeds 90 degrees from mid-June to mid-August. We average 48 inches of rain per year and rarely have snow. For off time, we have a variety of recreational opportunities in the local area, and are within three hours of the mountains, ocean, major league sports, and entertainment venues. Warner Robins is known as the International City, and we do have a diverse population. There are people from all over the country and world in our area associated with Robins Air Force Base and related support industries.
