Treatments for Macular Degeneration

The treatment recommended for your macular degeneration will depend on whether you have juvenile or adult-onset, and whether it is wet or dry, as well as other important factors about you. The goal of treatment is to reduce visual and functional impairment.

There are currently no oral medications for the treatment of macular degeneration.
