Providing our patients with quality nursing care is our pleasure and privilege. Houston Healthcare nurses have many opportunities for professional growth while still being able to balance their work and professional lives. Educational opportunities include tuition reimbursement, online learning through HealthStream, and ongoing nursing in-services.

Our Nursing Orientation program includes classroom instruction and unit-specific education for nurses joining the Houston Healthcare team. Each nurse is placed with a preceptor to ease the transition and works with a Clinical Coordinator to customize orientation.

Nursing Services at Houston Healthcare's hospitals are exceptional facilities for the new RN graduate with less than one year of experience. We assist the new graduate with the transition from student nurse to independent registered nurse. Our Medical-Surgical RN, Emergency Department RN, and ICU RN Residency Program provides the new nurse with clinically significant classroom instruction as they work closely with a preceptor on a nursing unit. The residency program is led by a Residency Coordinator who collaborates with unit-based Clinical Coordinators and preceptors to ensure a well-rounded orientation experience to help new nurses build clinical skills and confidence.
