Houston Healthcare System, Inc., serves as the governing body for Houston Healthcare, and as a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization, has the ultimate responsibility and authority for all activities of Houston Healthcare. The overall purpose is to formulate hospital policies to guide the administrative decision-making process. The primary functions of the System are to provide leadership for effective organization, stewardship of the hospital resources, representation to the external environment, quality assurance, and articulation of the community needs and attitudes.
