Vice President of Medical Affairs/Chief Medical Officer

Jefferson U. Davis, D.D.S., M.D., has joined Houston Healthcare as the Vice President of Medical Affairs and Chief Medical Officer. Prior to joining our team, he was in private practice specializing in plastic and reconstructive surgery in Albany, Georgia, and served as the Chief Medical Officer of Palmyra Medical Center. Dr. Davis has also served as the Assistant Professor of Surgery at the University of North Carolina School of Medicine in the Division of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and Surgery of the Hand. In addition, he was the Director of the Oculoplastic Surgery Service, Clinical Assistant Professor of Ophthalmology, and Adjunct Assistant Professor of Dentistry at the University of North Carolina School of Dentistry.

Dr. Davis earned his medical degree from Duke University School of Medicine, his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of North Carolina School of Dentistry, and a Bachelor's of Science degree from Wake Forest University. He completed residencies in both general surgery and plastic surgery at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, and served as Chief Resident of Plastic Surgery at Children's Hospital of Pittsburgh prior to completing a post-doctoral fellowship at the University of Southern California.
